Furniture Cleaning
No matter what type of furniture you have, you are going to have to take some time to keep it clean. Some types are obviously easier to clean then others, and some you dont even think about. If you want a fresh and clean home, this is something that you should think about every few months at the very least. Some furniture cleaning will be done when accidents happen, but there are some general cleaning things that you should be doing anyway.
Wood furniture cleaning is going to be some of the easiest that you can do. You have to think about all of the wood that you have in your home. You probably have more than you thought you did. Most of the time, dining room furniture is made from wood, and this is something that we do not think about as often as we should. They should be put through some good furniture cleaning every few months, or when something gets on them. You may have other wood in your home, so look around.
You can always use some Murphys Oil Soap when you are doing furniture cleaning on wood surfaces. You put a small amount in water and then use a damp rag to clean up what you find. Even if you dont see anything, use it anyway. You are going to find that layers of dirt come off when you clean this way. You can use any cleaner for furniture cleaning that is safe for wood if you dont want to use the oil soap. When gunk is layered on, allow it to soak a few moments in order to get it to come up for you.
If you are worried about furniture cleaning for fabrics, you have a good reason to be. Though some come clean right away, it is hard to keep things like couches clean deep inside. Worry about what you can get to and you should be okay. You should vacuum the surfaces once a week, or at the very least, once every two weeks. Once every few months you may want to try some furniture cleaning tricks for fabric like using a spray freshener and using a special cleaner you can find in the stores to deep clean and get out dirt and stains. These work very well, so dont discount them.
You may have outdoor pieces that you worry about, and probably clean more often. These are often made of some sort of waterproof materials, making furniture cleaning much easier. In some cases, you can just turn on the hose and give them a good spray. If you are going to do furniture cleaning outside with soap, find one that will be okay for the environment if it goes down into the ground. You should be able to find such soaps just about anywhere you shop, or if you look around online.
