Though there are some lucky women who can walk around with no make up what-so-ever, there are many more that have a few issues with the face, and they feel that they need help to feel good. Most wear make up foundation because they feel they have uneven skin, or perhaps because they tend to break out a lot. I have a few friends who go without make up foundation and I envy them. They do have smooth skin and very few blemishes, if any. I am not quite that lucky. Everyone has a skin color, but they also have a skin tone. Some have blue undertones, while others have yellow or green. It is not something we see when we look in the mirror, but it makes a world of difference when you are choosing make up foundation.
Once you have a good idea of what tone and color of make up foundation that you need, you then have to decide what type of foundation that you want to use. There are the common ones, and some that have a twist. You probably have tried the liquid type, and that is something that works well for many. There are also the newer all natural mineral make up foundation brands that some love. There are also those that are thicker, like pan stick make up, that are all that some will wear. You may want to try them all before you make your final choice.
When you are applying your make up foundation, remember that you want to have things blended so that you do not have a line. If you have the right color, this wont be too hard. Make sure you go under the chin and blend into the hair line and jaw line well. Also remember that most types of foundation are going to stay put longer if you use a powder to set that foundation. You dont have to match the color of your powder to the exact shade of your make up foundation, but try to get close for the best look possible.
